Session Focus
The forthcoming session will explore the theme:
“Future Orientation for Local Governance in Kerala.”
Kerala has long been recognised as a frontrunner in sustainable and inclusive development, with Local Self Government Institutions (LSGIs) playing a central role in this progress. As governance systems evolve and development challenges become more complex, it is vital to reflect on how LSGIs can adapt, innovate, and strengthen their role in shaping Kerala’s future.
This panel discussion aims to generate forward-looking insights on:
- The evolving responsibilities of LSGIs
- Strengthening decentralised planning and governance
- Strategies for enhancing the contribution of LSGIs to higher development milestones
